How long have you been in business? 3 months
What is your business all about? We are a one stop shop for home office/small office business services. We offer print, copy, scanning, email, faxing, and laminating. We also offer shipping services from five different carriers... UPS, Fedex, Spee-Dee, DHL and USPS, allowing us to compare carriers based off our customers needs.
Porch pirates won't be going away anytime soon, so we also offer a private mailbox with a professional street address (no PO Box) which keeps your mail and packages safe, with 24 hour access available for mail pieces. Virtual mailboxes are also available.
Other services we provide are Notary Public, Mobile Notary, Key Cutting, Packing Items, custom print jobs, banners, business cards, window decals are just a few examples. We also offer retail items that include boxes, packing material, office supplies, Melissa & Doug Toys and greeting cards!
What made you start your business? I started the business to try to carve my own path. Get out of the "rat race" of the corporate world, and do something that will allow me to follow my path and dreams of being a small business owner.
What makes your business unique? We can compare shipping rates from most major shipping carriers. I am in the store everyday excited that our customers chose us and return the favor in helping our customers find the best solution for their situation all while trying to save our customers a few bucks!
What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful business owner?
- Risk Taker
What three pieces of advice would you give to someone who wants to launch their own business?
- Go for it!
- Don't wait for an opportunity to come to you.
- Come up with a plan, know your business, then start carving out your path to success!
Who has been your greatest inspiration? Or what book has inspired you the most? Or what is your favorite book? In my earlier years Dave Ramsey helped me get on track. As I grew older I followed Robert Kiosaki and his book Rich Dad Poor Dad had a huge role on me wanting to invest, and let money work for me.... Not the other way around.
How do you conquer those moments of doubt that so often stifle or trip up or stop so many? You have to stay positive. Starting a new business can be very stressful and doubts start creeping in. Take the moments that you gained a new customer and helped them solve a problem, and keep those moments in the forefront.
Please feel free to share any other information that will help your audience get to know you better. In addition to the new Postal Annex store, I am very involved in the Adult Volleyball scene. I am passionate about playing the sport I love and run Digz Volleyball which offers Volleyball leagues and events to the community.
Passion: I love solving problems for our customers. It will be a tough task to find better customer service in the space that we are in.
